Shure SM31FH Fitness Headset Condenser Microphone

The Shure SM31FH fitness headset condenser microphone is a cardioid headworn mic engineered for fitness and aerobics instructors who need clear, hands-free vocals through high-intensity, sweaty sessions. Its hydrophobic, moisture-repellent cartridge resists the corrosion that kills ordinary headset mics, while the lightweight wireframe design stays comfortably in place through any workout. The TA4F (TQG) connector plugs into any Shure wireless bodypack transmitter.

• Flexible gooseneck Discreetly position the capsule for maximum isolation and gain-before-feedback.
• Cardioid pickup Focuses on the instructors voice while rejecting ambient class noise and music.
• Included windscreen Tames plosives, breath, and wind noise for clean, intelligible speech.
• Shure wireless compatible TA4F (TQG) 4-pin connector works with any Shure bodypack, making it a direct replacement for failed fitness headset mics.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of microphone do fitness instructors use?

Fitness and aerobics instructors typically use a lightweight headworn mic like the Shure SM31FH. It keeps the hands free, stays secure during high-impact movement, and unlike standard headsets uses a hydrophobic cartridge that resists sweat and humidity.

Is the Shure SM31FH sweat-resistant?

Yes. The SM31FHs moisture-repellent hydrophobic cartridge housing is specifically designed to protect against the corrosion damage that causes ordinary fitness headset microphones to fail.

What connector does the SM31FH use, and will it work with my Shure wireless system?

The SM31FH uses a TA4F (also called TQG) 4-pin mini connector that is compatible with any Shure wireless bodypack transmitter including BLX, GLX-D, SLX-D, QLX-D, ULX-D, and Axient systems.

Does the SM31FH come with a windscreen?

Yes. A snap-fit windscreen is included to reduce plosive, breath, and wind noise for clean, intelligible speech.
