Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic RSH4A6XXW is a 6U wide-format custom rackmount enclosure with a 20.5-inch depth, engineered for professional AV and IT installations that require maximum depth and additional horizontal clearance in a compact 6U vertical profile. Fabricated from heavy-gauge aluminum with a black brushed anodized finish, this open-shelf enclosure supports large-chassis, deep equipment in space-constrained rack environments where vertical rack units are limited. The wide-format design provides extra horizontal clearance for equipment with non-standard chassis widths or side-mounted accessories, making the RSH4A6XXW a specialized solution for demanding builds. Priced under $300, it delivers full Middle Atlantic engineering in a compact wide-format form factor.

Product Description

The RSH4A6XXW is part of Middle Atlantic’s RSH4A series of custom rackmount enclosures, designed for professional AV integration, broadcast, and IT infrastructure environments where deep and wide equipment must be accommodated within a limited vertical rack allocation. The 20.5-inch usable depth fits large amplifiers, UPS systems, high-density video routing hardware, and server equipment that demand extended rear clearance beyond what standard mid-depth enclosures can provide. The wide-format configuration adds horizontal clearance for equipment with oversized flanges, side-entry cabling, or chassis-mounted accessories, preventing fit issues common in dense rack builds. Black brushed anodized aluminum construction ensures resistance to corrosion and surface wear, maintaining a professional-grade appearance in both visible and concealed rack locations. Open-shelf construction allows unobstructed airflow and full rear cable access, essential for managing deep equipment in a compact 6U bay. The 6U height makes this enclosure appropriate for secondary equipment bays within larger rack systems, or as a standalone enclosure in small rooms and furniture-integrated AV systems with fixed vertical clearance.
