Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic BFD-19 is a solid front door for 19-space Breakthrough Next-Generation (BGR) Series racks. The beveled, black-finish door encloses the front of the rack to provide maximum protection for installed AV equipment. A popout latch with lock handle adds physical security, restricting front-of-rack access to authorized personnel. It is a direct-fit accessory for 19 RU BGR enclosures in commercial installations.

Product Description

Equipment racks in shared and public spaces need controlled front access exposed rack faces invite tampering, accidental setting changes, and unauthorized cable pulls. The Middle Atlantic BFD-19 solid front door closes off a 19-space BGR Series rack behind a lockable steel-framed panel, giving integrators a clean way to secure head-end equipment in conference centers, schools, houses of worship, and corporate equipment rooms. The solid design conceals installed gear completely, which suits installations where a finished appearance matters as much as security. A popout latch and lock handle secure the door, so routine service still takes seconds for staff with the key while casual access is blocked. The beveled styling matches the BGR Series aesthetic, keeping ganged and standalone enclosures visually consistent. The black finish coordinates with standard BGR rack hardware and most commercial AV equipment. Specifying the door at rack order time simplifies commercial deployment, and it can also be added to an existing 19 RU BGR enclosure in the field. For vented airflow requirements, alternative BGR door styles are available alongside this model in the Middle Atlantic collection at Creation Networks.
