Product Description

The SF4 Fine Perforation Security Cover from Middle Atlantic Products is a 4-rack-space (4U) protective cover that mounts over equipment in a standard 19-inch rack to deter tampering and unauthorized adjustment. The cover is 1 inch deep, providing physical standoff from the equipment face to prevent direct contact with controls, connections, or media slots. The fine perforation pattern uses smaller holes than the standard S-series perforation, reducing the ability to insert fingers or tools through the cover face while still permitting a partial view of equipment status LEDs from the outside. This makes the SF series preferred in environments where visual monitoring is needed alongside the highest practical level of contact deterrence. Installed rubber edging runs around the perimeter of the cover to prevent the metal edges from scratching or marking the equipment or rack panels it contacts. For installations requiring an additional level of physical security, the cover is compatible with Middle Atlantics Guardian Series security rack screws and HSK hardware, which require a proprietary tool for removal and prevent easy unauthorized access. The SF4 is appropriate for commercial AV installations, educational facilities, hospitality environments, and any setting where rack equipment must be protected from tampering.
