Product Overview

The C2G CG29535 25ft DisplayPort Active Optical Cable (AOC) extends a DisplayPort signal 25 feet over fiber strand construction, supporting 4K 60Hz video in classrooms, conference rooms, and commercial AV environments where copper DisplayPort cable performance is a concern or EMI interference is present. The fiber construction is thinner, more flexible, and lighter than copper, simplifying routing through tight spaces and cable managers. Note: Limited availability confirm stock before specifying in new installations.

Product Description

The CG29535 uses active optical technology to carry the DisplayPort signal with no signal boosters or repeaters required at 25 feet. Fiber construction provides immunity to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference from nearby motors, ballasts, and dense cabling. The cable is source-powered from the DisplayPort port in standard installations; no external power supply is needed. It is directional and factory terminated cannot be cut or re-terminated in the field.

Key Features

• 25ft (7.6m) DisplayPort Extension Reliable DisplayPort signal at 25ft with no repeaters, ideal for under-raised-floor or ceiling-drop installations.
• 4K 60Hz Support Full 4K resolution at 60Hz from DisplayPort source to display.
• EMI/RFI Immune Fiber Construction Eliminates interference from electrical equipment, HVAC, and dense cabling in commercial environments.
• Flexible, Small-Diameter Cable Easier to route through conduit and cable managers than copper.
• Source-Powered No external power supply required in standard installations.
• Directional Source and display ends clearly labeled.

Typical Applications

• Conference room short-run DisplayPort connection in high-EMI environments
• Classroom and training room DisplayPort source to display

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a power supply required?

No. The cable is source-powered via the DisplayPort port in standard installations.

Can it be cut or re-terminated?

No. AOC cables are factory terminated only.

What is the difference between this and a copper DisplayPort cable?

Copper cable at 25ft is typically adequate electrically, but fiber provides EMI immunity in interference-heavy environments and is thinner and more flexible for tight routing. For standard environments, copper may be sufficient.

What does limited availability mean?

Confirm current stock at before specifying in new projects.
