The ExtronDTPTHD24K330is a long distance transmitter for sending HDMI with embedded audio, and bidirectional RS232 and IR signals up to 330feet (100meters) over a shielded CATx cable to Extron DTP330-enabled products. It provides one HDMI input with loop-through to support local monitoring of digital video, and one DTP output. The DTPTHD24K330 supports video signals at resolutions up to 4K. It offers many integrator-friendly features such as EDIDMinder, KeyMinder, bidirectional RS232 and IR pass-through for remote AV device control, and compatibility with HDBaseT-enabled devices. The compact enclosure size and remote power capability make the DTPTHD24K330 ideal for discreet placement in lecterns, beneath tables, or wherever needed to meet application requirements.

The HDCP-compliant DTPTHD24K330 enables the reliable transmission of HDMI signals, supporting Deep Color up to 12bit, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. The DTPTHD24K330 supports simultaneous transmission of bidirectional RS232 and IR signals from a control system for AV device control. For added installation flexibility, the transmitter can be remotely powered over the shielded twisted pair cable by a DTP330-enabled product. This simplifies installation and allows both devices to share one power supply.

To enhance and simplify integration of sources and displays, and to help ensure optimal system performance, the DTPTHD24K330 features two Extron-exclusive technologies: EDIDMinder and KeyMinder. EDIDMinder manages EDID communication between the display devices and input source to ensure that the correct video formats are displayed reliably. For HDMI signals with protected content, KeyMinder authenticates and maintains continuous HDCP encryption between input and output devices to ensure the simultaneous distribution of source content to all displays. The DTPTHD24K330 also automatically adjusts color bit depth based on the display EDID, preventing color compatibility conflicts between source and display.

The DTP output can be configured for compatibility with HDBaseT-enabled displays to send digital video and embedded audio, plus bidirectional RS232 and IR signals up to 330feet (100meters) over a shielded CATx cable.

The DTPTHD24K330 provides automatic input cable equalization up to 100feet (30meters) at 1920×1200 with 8bit color on Extron HDMIProSeries cables. Input cable equalization restores and reshapes incoming HDMI signals, reducing the need for additional signal conditioning equipment by compensating for weak source signals or signal loss from a long input cable.

The DTPTHD24K330 can be integrated with an Extron DTPCrossPointPresentation Matrix Switcher, or other DTP330-enabled products to support sources at remote locations. The transmitter is housed in a 1″ (2.5cm) high, quarter rack width metal enclosure. The low profile design of the DTPTHD24K330 allows for discreet placement in lecterns and beneath tables.

Extron recommends Extron-certified XTPDTP24 shielded twisted pair cable, shielded RJ45 plugs, jacks, and couplers engineered for optimum signal transmission with Extron DTP Series products. The XTPDTP24 cable is certified to 475MHz and utilizes a SF/UTP design with four unshielded 24AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall braid and foil shield for superior performance and noise immunity.
