The Extron RetractorSeries XL is a patented, variable-speed cable retraction and management system that works with AVEdge100, CableCubby Series, and select TouchLink enclosures as well as the TMK120R table mount kit. RetractorXL modules support most AV and data signal types, including HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, PCAudio, Network, USB, and USBC. RetractorXLDC extends DC power to laptops, and is compatible with many Dell, HP, Compaq, and Lenovo PCs.Cables extend up to 5’feet (152cm) and are held securely in place at the desired length.Cables retract at the press of a button, with integrator-adjustable retraction speed control for smooth operation in both horizontal and vertical mounting. Extron RetractorSeries modules are also available for applications where cable extension of 3feet (90cm) is appropriate.

Extron offers the industrys widest selection of USBC Retractor modules. The RetractorXLUSBC Power module features USBCtoUSBC delivery of up to 100watts of power to peripheral devices, as well as select laptops. For USBC sources that support DisplayPortAltMode, the RetractorXLUSBCHDMImodule provides connection to HDMI displays and peripheral devices. The Extron RetractorXL USBCDisplayPort module provides connectivity between USBC sources that support DisplayPortAltMode and a DisplayPort device. The RetractorXLUSBCHDMI and RetractorXLUSBCDisplayPort modules support resolutions up to 4K/30 and pass EDID, HDCP, and audio information between source and display.

The Retractor XL USB-C Pro and Retractor XL USB-C Pro 8K modules provide connectivity between USBC sources that support resolutions up to 8K/30. Data rates up to 5Gbps. EDID, HDCP, and audio information also pass between the devices. They deliver up to 60watts of power for charging. The RetractorXLUSBCPro8K is compatible with the USBCHD101interface.

For power, Extron offers several RetractorXL modules to choose from. RetractorXLDC and RetractorXLLenovoDC extend power to compatible laptops. Laptop power supply not included; see the DCPower Compatibility Guide for details.

Extron RetractorXL modules are engineered for long life and reliability. They are tested to exceed 7,500 cable extension and retraction cycles. The robust mechanism is designed to withstand frequent use in schools, libraries, conference rooms, and other high-utilization environments. Each module includes a pre-loaded, continuous 12foot (3.6m) cable for a single signal type, ensuring consistent, reliable performance regardless of cable extension length. A fourfoot (1.2m) pigtail is provided on the system end of the module for ease of installation and connection to under-table AV system hardware or floor boxes.

RetractorXL modules can be mounted vertically for ease of installation next to a table leg or desktop support. For horizontal mounting applications such as under a table top or other flat surface, an optional mounting bracket is available. Each horizontal bracket holds up to three Retractor modules. For semi-permanent applications, AVEdge100 enclosures also accommodate up to three Retractor cable retraction modules. The mounting bracket is included. CableCubbySeries and select TouchLink enclosures support from three to nine Retractor modules, depending on the size of the enclosure. Optional mounting brackets may be required.

The RetractorFillerModule is available to fill unused spaces in Retractor mounts. This FillerModule includes a Blank Cover Plate as well as a CablePassthrough Plate that accommodates stereo audio, network, or other cables. The Extron TMK120R Table Mount Kit for under-table mount installations is also available for installations where cutting a tabletop surface is not desirable.
