Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic 5-8 Slim-5 KD is an 8-space, 20-inch deep knockdown rack enclosure from the Slim-5 series. Designed for AV integrators who need a compact, shallow rack solution, it ships flat for efficient transport and assembles on-site without specialized tools.

Product Description

The Slim-5 Knockdown series addresses the growing demand for compact AV rack solutions in commercial and residential installations where full-depth enclosures are impractical. At 8 rack spaces (8SP) and 20 inches of depth, the 5-8 KD provides sufficient room for AV processors, amplifiers, and control equipment without the bulk of a standard 24-inch deep rack. The knockdown design means the enclosure ships disassembled, reducing freight costs and simplifying delivery to tight installation locations such as behind walls, in furniture, or in small equipment closets. Assembly is straightforward and requires only basic tools. The Slim-5 series maintains Middle Atlantic’s standard of steel construction and finish quality.
