Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic RK-GD12 is a 12-space tempered glass front door for Middle Atlantic laminate rack enclosures, including the RK, BRK, OBRK, and MBRK series. It closes off the front of a 12 RU laminate rack so installed equipment stays protected from dust, casual contact, and accidental control changes while remaining fully visible. Tempered glass construction gives the door the strength expected in a commercial or residential AV installation. For integrators finishing a laminate rack build, this glass rack door is the final piece that turns open rack rails into a presentable equipment cabinet.

Product Description

An open-front rack invites trouble in shared spaces: fingers on power buttons, dust on intake vents, and an unfinished look the client notices immediately. The RK-GD12 solves this for 12-space Middle Atlantic laminate racks with a tempered glass door designed specifically for the RK, BRK, OBRK, and MBRK enclosure families. Because the glass is transparent, status LEDs, meters, and front-panel displays stay readable without opening the door useful for quick visual checks of amplifiers, network gear, and source components. Tempered glass also matters for safety: it is far more resistant to impact than standard glass, an appropriate choice for conference rooms, classrooms, retail spaces, and home theaters where people work around the rack. The door matches the proportions of a 12 RU laminate rack so the finished enclosure looks like furniture rather than infrastructure, which is exactly why integrators choose BRK and OBRK series racks for client-facing rooms in the first place. Installation is a straightforward addition to a compatible Middle Atlantic laminate enclosure, making it easy to spec at the time of the rack order or retrofit to a rack already in the field. As a factory-matched accessory, it preserves the fit and finish of the original enclosure rather than approximating it with a third-party panel. Pair it with blank panels, vent panels, and other accessories from our Middle Atlantic collection to complete the build.
