Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic RSH4A6X is a custom 6U rackmount enclosure shelf that lets integrators mount non-rackmount AV components in a standard 19″ equipment rack without modifying the gear itself. Its 17.5″ shelf depth accommodates deeper chassis such as full-size source components, amplifiers, and media servers that shorter shelves cannot support. The black brushed and anodized faceplate gives shelf-mounted equipment a finished, factory-rackmounted appearance across the rack elevation. It is a dependable choice for commercial AV installation, residential equipment racks, and credenza enclosures.

Product Description

Most AV systems include at least one component that was never designed for rack mounting a streaming player, cable box, network appliance, or consumer-grade source unit. The RSH4A6X solves this with a vented 6-space rack shelf from Middle Atlantic’s RSH custom rackshelf program, where the anodized faceplate is custom cut to match the exact equipment you specify. The result is a clean, integrated front panel rather than an open shelf with visible gaps around the component. Occupying six rack spaces in any standard 19″ rack or enclosure, the shelf requires no drilling, brackets, or modification of the mounted device. The 17.5″ depth in this variant is the deepest in the 6U RSH4A family, making it the right pick when the component chassis runs long or when rear cable clearance is at a premium. Shelf venting supports passive airflow around heat-producing electronics, an important consideration in enclosed credenzas and closet racks. The black brushed and anodized finish coordinates with Middle Atlantic rack panels and accessories for a consistent elevation in client-facing installations. Integrators specifying conference rooms, hospitality systems, or residential media racks can standardize on the RSH4A series and select depth per component.
