Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic RSH4S10XW is a 10U extra-wide custom rackmount enclosure for mounting large non-rackmount components in a standard 19″ rack without modifying the equipment. Its 17.5″ usable depth and ten rack spaces of height make it the large-format option in the RSH4S textured face plate series, sized for gear that the 6U shelves cannot enclose. The black textured powder coat steel face plate keeps the finished installation visually consistent with Middle Atlantic racks and panel hardware.

Product Description

Some components defeat ordinary rack shelves entirely: wide-chassis amplifiers, oversized media servers, and consumer electronics with tall or irregular profiles. The Middle Atlantic RSH4S10XW custom rack shelf enclosure exists for exactly these cases, pairing a 10-space front panel height with an extra-wide format and 17.5″ of usable depth. As with every shelf in the RSH custom rackshelf program, the enclosure is produced for the specific component you identify when ordering, so the face plate presents the device as if it were native rackmount hardware. The added width distinguishes the XW model from the standard 6U RSH4S shelves (offered in 11.5″, 14″, and 15.5″ depths) and gives clearance for chassis that crowd a conventional shelf opening. The steel face plate carries the black textured powder coat finish that defines the RSH4S line; the RSH4A series offers the same concept with an anodized front for matching residential equipment racks. Nothing about the mounting process requires drilling or permanent alteration of the component, so warranties remain valid and replacement is straightforward. For commercial AV integrators, this is a practical way to bring outsized gear into a managed equipment rack while keeping the elevation clean and serviceable. Provide the component make and model with your order, and see the Middle Atlantic collection at Creation Networks for racks, rack shelves, and accessories that complete the system.
