Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic RSH4S6S is a 6U custom rackshelf enclosure that mounts non-rackmount components in a standard 19″ equipment rack without any modification to the gear or the rack. With an 11.5″ usable depth, it is the shallow-depth option in the 6-space RSH4S family, sized for compact sources, streaming players, and small-format processors. Each shelf ships with a black textured powder coat face plate that matches Middle Atlantic rack rails, blanks, and vent panels for a uniform front-of-rack appearance.

Product Description

Most residential and commercial AV systems include at least one component that was never designed for rack mounting. The Middle Atlantic RSH4S6S custom rackshelf solves that problem by enclosing the component behind a face plate produced for the specific equipment you specify, so the device presents like native rackmount hardware. Because the shelf occupies six rack spaces, it accommodates taller half-width and consumer-format components that a 1U or 2U shelf cannot. The 11.5″ depth keeps the enclosure compatible with shallow wall-mount racks and credenza enclosures where deeper shelves will not fit; if your component is deeper, the RSH4S6M (14″) and RSH4S6R (15.5″) cover the same 6U height at greater depths. The RSH4S series uses a steel face plate with a black textured powder coat finish, distinguishing it from the RSH4A anodized face plate version and matching the finish of standard Middle Atlantic rack hardware. Integrators use these shelves to secure cable boxes, network appliances, and audio sources in equipment racks while preserving a clean, professional front panel. Mounting requires no drilling or component modification, which protects warranties and simplifies field swaps. The RSH4S6S is a custom-built item produced to your component specification, so confirm the exact device make and model when ordering.
