Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic SH-DMP-S is a 4-space rack shelf purpose-built for mounting portable media players and electronic accessories in a standard 19″ rack. It fits most popular MP3 players and satellite radio receivers, with 7-5/16″ of usable depth and 5-7/8″ of usable height behind the face. Steel construction with a textured black powder coat finish lets the shelf blend with standard rack panels, and installed grommets protect cords at every pass-through.

Product Description

Portable media players and satellite radio receivers rarely come with rack ears, yet they end up in commercial AV racks constantly: background music sources in restaurants, retail audio feeds, and fitness facility playback systems. The SH-DMP-S media player rack shelf gives those devices a proper rackmounted home instead of sitting loose on top of an amplifier.

The shelf accommodates one or more players using customer-supplied docks, so each installation can be configured around the specific source devices on the project. Usable space measures 7-5/16″ deep by 5-7/8″ high across 4 rack spaces, enough for most consumer media players, docks, and satellite receivers. Installed grommets line the cable pass-throughs, protecting charging and audio cords from chafing against bare metal edges.

For power bricks, wall-wart supplies, and other support devices, the shelf accepts an optional rear accessory shelf, keeping the visible front section clean. Where the SH-DMP-A version wears a brushed anodized face for decor-grade installs, this SH-DMP-S model is finished in textured black powder coat to match standard Middle Atlantic rack panels and enclosures, the practical pick for equipment-room racks. Order the SH-DMP-S from Creation Networks with the rest of your rack accessory package.
