The Middle Atlantic SPM-2 is a 2-space, all-steel sideways panel mount that holds hubs, switches, and other network components flat against the wall. Part of the Versa-Rack family, it can also mount equipment under tables and desks in commercial and classroom settings. A single pair of heavy-gauge 10-32 threaded rack rails adjusts to three positions, and a steel cover conceals and protects the installed equipment.

Product Description

Not every equipment location justifies a full wall rack. For a network switch in a classroom, a hub behind a reception desk, or an AV interface in a huddle room, the SPM-2 low-profile wall rack puts two rack spaces of standard 19-inch mounting exactly where the equipment needs to live. The sideways orientation holds components flat against the wall, keeping the projection off the wall to a minimum while preserving normal rackmount compatibility. The same chassis mounts under tables and desks, a practical option for instructor stations and conference tables where equipment should disappear from view. The mounting plane is a single pair of high-quality, heavy-gauge 10-32 threaded rack rails, adjustable to three positions so D-Ring cable managers can sit alongside the mounted equipment. Behind the rails, abundant lacing points give cables dedicated tie-off locations for a clean termination field. The included steel cover protects connections from accidental contact and conceals the equipment for a finished appearance, and rack screws ship in the box. The SPM-2 provides two rack spaces; when a project needs four, specify the SPM-4 4-space sideways panel mount.
