The Middle Atlantic SS is a 1-space sliding rack shelf built for equipment that needs regular hands-on access inside the rack. The shelf rides on rugged ball bearing slides and extends a full 13 inches, bringing mounted gear out to the technician instead of forcing service work deep in the enclosure. With a 50 lb. capacity and an adjustable rear support, it mounts in most standard racks used in commercial AV and IT installations.

Product Description

Some rack-mounted devices are serviced far more often than others: media players, small-format mixers, test equipment, and non-rackmount components that sit on a shelf all benefit from pull-out access. The SS sliding shelf is both functional and rugged for exactly these use cases. Ball bearing slides give the shelf smooth, repeatable travel, and the full 13-inch extension puts equipment within easy reach for cabling, configuration, and maintenance during commercial deployment.

The shelf carries up to 50 lb. and is built from steel with a black powder coat finish that matches standard Middle Atlantic rack hardware. An adjustable rear support lets the shelf mount in most racks with rail-to-rail depths from 15.1 to 23.9 inches; a rear rackrail is required when installing in steel racks. Plan rack elevations carefully, as the SS occupies slightly more than a single rackspace, and confirm the rack provides at least 15-1/8 inches from front to rear rails.
