Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic SSDR-15 is a 15-space split security door for rack enclosures, designed to restrict access to a defined portion of rackmounted equipment. The keylocked solid door covers a 15U zone within the rack, allowing AV integrators to create a clear separation between an installer zone with locked-down sensitive or critical equipment and an open user zone accessible to clients. Compatible with RK and BRK Series racks, the SSDR-15 is a practical security solution for corporate AV, hospitality, and education installations.

Product Description

The SSDR-15 split security door gives AV integrators a straightforward method to physically secure critical or sensitive rack equipment without installing a fully enclosed lockable rack. The 15-space door covers the designated installer zone while leaving the rest of the rack front open for client-accessible gear such as media players, volume controls, or user interfaces. The keylocking mechanism prevents unauthorized access to amplifiers, DSPs, network switches, and other back-end systems that should not be adjusted by end users. Steel construction with a black powder coat finish matches standard Middle Atlantic rack finishes for a cohesive appearance. The SSDR-15 also functions as a full-height door on RK and BRK Series racks when the configuration requires it, providing flexibility across installation types. For AV system integrators specifying rack security in conference rooms, classrooms, hotel AV closets, or retail installations, the SSDR-15 is an efficient, cost-effective alternative to full lockable rack enclosures.
