The SoundTube LA808i-II-BK employs eight 4.5-inch paper-cone woofers with rubber surrounds, each driven through a 12 dB-per-octave low-pass crossover network set at 500 Hz. This configuration achieves a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, with a maximum continuous RMS power rating of 300 watts and program power capacity of 500 watts delivering substantial low-frequency output while remaining matched to the LA880i-II’s amplifier channel requirements. The speaker’s frequency response extends from 75 Hz to 22 kHz (10 dB), with the usable 3 dB window beginning at 83 Hz, providing controlled reproduction of fundamental bass frequencies and lower midrange content.

Directivity performance is characterized by a coverage angle of 103 degrees horizontal by 29 degrees vertical at 2 kHz (6 dB), with a directivity factor (Q) of 9.1 and a directivity index (DI) of 12.6 dB averaged from 100 Hz to 10 kHz.
