Product Overview

The Williams AV CHG 3512 PRO is a 12-bay body-pack charger with a hard-shell carry case, built for portable assistive listening deployments that move between venues. The drop-in charger recharges NiMH batteries inside up to 12 Williams AV body-pack receivers and transmitters no battery removal required while the included copolymer case protects the system in transit. For rental houses, touring AV crews, and multi-site organizations, it consolidates receiver charging, storage, and transport into one package.

Product Description

The CHG 3512 PRO pairs the 12-unit CHG 3512 drop-in charger with the CCS 056S carry case, a TFP 037 switching power supply, and a US main power cord. Compatible body-packs include the PLR BP1 loop receiver, PPA R37 and PPA R38 FM receivers, PPA T46 FM transmitter, and WIR RX22-4 infrared receiver covering FM, infrared, and hearing loop product families from a single charging station.

Units dock directly into the bays with their NiMH AA batteries installed, and the microprocessor-controlled charger runs a timed 16-hour cycle at 140 mA before switching to a pulse/maintain mode that keeps batteries topped off without overcharging. Each bay has a red LED that stays lit during charging and blinks when the battery is full, so technicians can confirm system readiness at a glance before load-out. The switching power supply accepts 90-240 VAC, useful for crews working across different facilities.

For fixed installations that do not need transport protection, the standard CHG 3512 12-bay charger offers the same charging performance without the case. See the complete Williams AV collection for compatible receivers, transmitters, and assistive listening accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Williams AV body-packs does the CHG 3512 PRO charge?

It charges the PLR BP1 loop receiver, PPA R37 and PPA R38 FM receivers, PPA T46 FM transmitter, and WIR RX22-4 infrared receiver with NiMH AA batteries installed and the device set to the NiMH battery setting.

Do I need to remove batteries to charge?

No. Body-packs drop directly into the bays and the charger recharges the NiMH batteries inside the devices, which keeps batteries paired with their units and speeds turnaround.

Can devices stay in the charger after charging completes?

Yes. After the 16-hour timed cycle, the charger switches to a pulse/maintain mode, so units can remain docked and ready without overcharging.

Is the power supply suitable for international use?

The included TFP 037 switching power supply accepts 90-240 VAC input; the included main power cord is for US outlets. The kit as configured is intended for US use.

What is the difference between the CHG 3512 and the CHG 3512 PRO?

Both use the same 12-bay charger. The PRO version adds the CCS 056S hard-shell carry case for transport between sites, making it the better fit for rental and portable deployments.

What warranty coverage is included?

The charger carries a 1-year Williams AV warranty (90 days on cables and power supply), and the copolymer case is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
