Product Overview

The Williams AV PFM PRO RCH is a rechargeable personal FM listening system that delivers a talker’s voice directly to the listener’s ear wherever background noise or distance makes listening difficult at work, school, or home. The kit pairs a PPA T46 bodypack transmitter with a PPA R37 receiver, lavalier microphone, earphone, headphone, NiMH rechargeable batteries, a CHG 3502 dual drop-in charger, and a carrying case, eliminating disposable battery costs for daily-use hearing assistance.

Product Description

The T46 transmitter broadcasts on 17 selectable channels across the 72-76 MHz hearing assistance band with an operating range of up to 150 feet. The talker wears the included MIC 090 lavalier microphone while the transmitter’s OLED interface manages channel selection, mic and aux gain, selectable 2:1 compression, and one-touch mic mute. A 2.5 mm auxiliary input with the included WCA 087 cable broadcasts any line-level audio source alongside the voice signal useful for media playback in classrooms and training rooms.

The listener wears the R37 receiver with a choice of the included EAR 041 in-ear earphone or HED 021 folding headphone, and the receiver’s 3.5 mm jack also drives an optional neckloop for telecoil-equipped hearing aids. The rechargeable workflow is the differentiator: both units drop into the CHG 3502 dual charger with their BAT 026-2 NiMH batteries installed, recharging overnight for daily service. The receiver runs up to 32 hours and the transmitter up to 20 hours per charge, with a battery-type switch to fall back to alkaline cells when needed. The CCS 043 case carries the complete system between sites.

If a disposable-battery kit suits your deployment better, see the standard PFM PRO personal FM listening system. Additional receivers and neckloops are available in the Williams AV collection at Creation Networks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does charging work?

Both the T46 transmitter and R37 receiver have bottom charging contacts and drop into the included CHG 3502 dual charger with their NiMH batteries installed. A full charge takes approximately 14-16 hours an overnight cycle for daily service.

How long do the units run per charge?

The receiver runs approximately 32 hours and the transmitter up to 20 hours per charge with the included BAT 026-2 NiMH batteries. Both units can also run on AA alkaline batteries via an internal battery-type switch as a backup.

Can additional listeners join the system?

Yes. Any Williams Sound 72-76 MHz wideband receiver, such as additional PPA R37 units, can tune to the transmitter’s channel to serve a group.

Does it support hearing aid users?

The R37 receiver drives an optional neckloop through its 3.5 mm jack, coupling inductively to telecoil-equipped hearing aids and cochlear implant processors. Neckloops are sold separately.

How is this different from the standard PFM PRO?

The PFM PRO RCH adds NiMH rechargeable batteries and the CHG 3502 dual drop-in charger; the standard PFM PRO ships with alkaline batteries and no charger. The transmitter, receiver, and listening accessories are otherwise the same.

What warranty applies?

The transmitter and receiver carry the Williams AV Lifetime PLUS Limited Warranty, with 90 days on most accessories. Creation Networks supports the full Williams AV assistive listening line for commercial buyers.
