Product Overview

The Williams AV STD 005 is a tabletop microphone stand for the MIC 027 handheld unidirectional microphone. It holds the microphone at a fixed position on a podium, lectern, or conference table, converting the handheld mic into a hands-free pickup for assistive listening and interpretation systems. Measuring 4-1/8 x 5 x 1 inches and weighing about one pound, it provides a stable base without crowding the work surface.

Product Description

In courtrooms, council chambers, and meeting rooms, the MIC 027 frequently feeds a Williams AV transmitter as the program audio source for assistive listening. Holding the microphone by hand through a long session is impractical, and the STD 005 solves this by seating the mic in a desk-mounted stand at a consistent distance and angle from the talker. Consistent mic positioning also keeps transmit levels steady, which matters for listeners on assistive listening receivers.

The stand’s roughly one-pound weight keeps it planted on the table, and its compact footprint fits podium tops and witness stands. Pair it with the Williams AV MIC 027 handheld unidirectional microphone, and find compatible transmitters and accessories in the Williams AV collection.
