Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic RSH4A6MW is a custom 6U rackmount enclosure shelf in the wide-shelf format of the RSH4A series, built to mount non-rackmount components in a standard 19″ rack without any equipment modification. The 14″ shelf depth handles the broad middle range of AV chassis, from media players to compact amplifiers. Its black brushed and anodized faceplate is custom cut around the component you specify, so the mounted device presents like purpose-built rackmount hardware. This makes it a strong fit for rack integration in conference rooms, residential systems, and equipment closets.

Product Description

When a wide-chassis component lacks rack ears, generic trays leave it visibly adrift in the rack with open space on either side. The RSH4A6MW resolves that with Middle Atlantic’s custom rackshelf approach: a vented six-space shelf in the series’ wider shelf format, fronted by an anodized panel fabricated to your component’s exact footprint. The 14″ depth covers the most common chassis dimensions in AV source and processing gear while keeping the rear of the rack clear for connectors and service loops. Installation into any standard 19″ rack or enclosure is straightforward, and because the device itself is never drilled or modified, manufacturer warranties stay intact. The wide shelf platform gives broader components full support across their base, avoiding the overhang issues that occur on narrow trays. Vented construction encourages passive airflow, a meaningful benefit for electronics running continuously inside closed credenzas and AV furniture. The black brushed and anodized face coordinates with Middle Atlantic rack panels for a uniform, client-ready elevation. For integrators handling commercial deployment at scale, specifying within the RSH4A family keeps submittals simple while covering varied equipment lists.
