Product Overview

The Visionary Solutions DuetD5-WP is an in-wall AV over IP wallplate decoder that delivers 4K60 4:4:4 video to a display through HDMI while providing full USB-over-IP support via two USB-C ports. As a wall plate decoder for conference room AV installations, it terminates the network cleanly at the display or table location without a box behind the screen. Built on the PacketAV 5 Series platform with AES67/Dante audio networking and standard PoE power, it suits commercial AV integration in corporate, education, and hybrid meeting environments.

Product Description

The DuetD5-WP rounds out Visionary’s 5 Series wallplate lineup as the decoder counterpart to the wallplate encoders. It features an HDMI output for the room display and two USB-C ports that carry full USB-over-IP, consistent with the capabilities of Visionary’s 5 Series box decoders. That USB capability is the key differentiator: users can receive high-quality video and interact with USB devices over IP, which makes the DuetD5-WP a strong fit for soft codec conference rooms built around USB cameras, touch panels, and other HID peripherals. AES67 and Dante audio networking let the decoder embed and de-embed networked audio alongside video, and VLAN tagging separates audio and video traffic where the network design requires it. Standard PoE power means one category cable to the wall box completes the installation, and the 45-degree Ethernet connector eases cable dressing in shallow back boxes. Like all 5 Series endpoints, it delivers ultra-low latency 4K60 4:4:4 transmission with independent USB-over-IP routing, so video, audio, and USB can each be matrixed separately across the deployment. Pair it with the DuetE5-WP-C wallplate encoder at the table for a fully in-wall BYOD room, or with any 5 Series encoder for larger matrix-routable AV over IP systems spanning meeting rooms, training rooms, and digital signage endpoints.

Key Features

• In-Wall 4K60 4:4:4 Decoding Receives ultra-low latency, visually lossless UHD video and outputs it to the display over HDMI.
• Dual USB-C Ports with USB-over-IP Extends USB cameras, touch panels, and HID peripherals across the network for soft codec conferencing.
• Full 5 Series Decoder Capability Matches the USB and routing feature set of Visionary’s 5 Series box decoders in a wallplate form factor.
• AES67 and Dante Audio Networking Integrates directly with professional networked audio systems for room sound and DSP workflows.
• Independent Signal Routing Matrixes video, audio, and USB separately so each can be routed where it is needed.
• Standard PoE Power Powers the wallplate over the network connection with no local power supply at the display.
• VLAN Tagging Support Separates audio and video traffic to match enterprise network segmentation policies.
• 45-Degree Ethernet Connector Simplifies cable management inside the back box for faster, cleaner installations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which encoders pair with the DuetD5-WP?
Any Visionary 5 Series encoder. For an all-wallplate room, pair it with the DuetE5-WP-C (HDMI + USB-C) or the DuetE5-WP-H (HDMI only).

What are the two USB-C ports for?
They provide full USB-over-IP, letting you connect USB cameras, touch displays, and other HID peripherals at the display location and route them across the network to a host PC or codec.

Is it suitable for Teams or Zoom rooms?
Yes. USB-over-IP support for cameras and HID peripherals makes it well suited to soft codec environments where conferencing devices live at the display while the host PC sits elsewhere on the network.

How is it powered?
By standard PoE from a network switch a single category cable to the wall box delivers power, video, audio, USB, and control.

Can audio be routed separately from video?
Yes. AES67/Dante audio, video, and USB are independently routable, and VLAN tagging lets you separate traffic types on managed networks.

Does Creation Networks support system design?
Yes. Our commercial AV team can help you plan encoder/decoder counts, PoE switch budgets, and control integration before you purchase. Reach out through .
